Today has been fun.

So I woke up this morning knowing I wasn't going to school because I had a really bad sore throat, and i could feel that something was kind of blocking my airway.

When I finally got up at like 7:45 I looked in the mirror to find my uvula swollen to rediculous proportions... so bad, in fact, that I can barely talk, barely breathe, and can't eat.

Luckily, my mom had court in Logan this morning so she was still home (she works at the court... she's not on trial), and she was able to get me to the doctor.

So I either have a REALLY bad case of strep throat or a REALLY bad case of mono (it's probably the strep throat).

Anyways, now I'm sitting in her office at the courthouse in Logan, waiting for her to finish in court so I can go get my sterriods and antibiotics. I'll probably be playing XBOX for the rest of the day once I get home.

Also, I found out that my dad had a minor collision with my sister's car this morning. Haha. Now he gets to pay to get my sister's car fixed... and it was just the type of minor collision that's going to cost a bunch to fix, because it tweaked (just barely) the entire right side of the automobile.

Aftershave Adventures

Last night I wandered into my bedroom, and was gonna turn on some music...

So I lay down on my bed, and felt something under the covers.

So naturally I pulled back my blanket and sheet...

My little brother had pulled back my blankets, dumped an entire bottle of aftershave onto my bed, and then stuck a toothpaste-covered golf ball right in the middle of the puddle.

Then he covered the whole mess up again so I could find it.

Soda Can Destruction

So on Saturday I was sitting in Stanton's living room, drinking a Tiki Mist...

And when I was finished, I decided to pull off the can's tab.

This pulled up some of the can's top, so I tried to finish pulling it off...

But it was too small to get with my fingers, so I tried to get it off with my teeth.

I had it most of the way off when my lip started tasting salty. Yeah, it was bleeding.

It took about a half hour to get it to stop bleeding, and now it splits all the time and hurts.

Don't tear can tops off with your teeth.

Earthquakes = Apocalypse?

There was just another earthquake here in L.A...

Just a while ago.

Scary.

Stupid Microsoft...

So...

I was playing Halo 2 this morning and started to get bored.... So I hit eject on my XBOX 360 to switch to Oblivion...

When the disk came out, it made a weird buzzy grindy noise for about a second, and I thought, "That was weird..." but I wasn't too worried about it...

But when I put Oblivion in it made the sound again, except for a lot.

So I screwed around with restarting the console and flipping it horizontal and whatever else, but it still made the noise.

Again, I wasn't way worried about it becase the games still loaded and played just fine. Now they won't.I'm going to have to call XBOX support now, and I'll have to get a refurbished console...

I had to do this same thing with my first XBOX, only for a different problem.

Stupid Microsoft.

Earthquake!

I was sitting in my sister's apartment this evening, and my brother-in-law was showing me how to pluck out a song on the guitar.

From across the room my sister said, "Whoa!" and stood up suddenly.

My brother-in-law and I did the same. At first I thought the wind was blowing on the apartment extra hard, but I knew in my mind that I was wrong. It wasn't until we all started rushing toward cover that I realized what it was: an earthquake.

As it turns out, It was a 4.6 earthquake, about 14 miles away. It only lasted maybe two or three seconds. My sister felt it the most; I didn't really notice until the ground actually moved quite forcefully beneath my feet.

Luckily, nothing appears to be wrong. My sister's roomate didn't even wake up.

Not bad for the first earthquake I've ever conciously felt, though.

Hollywood Experience

Okay, so here's how this adventure goes:

My brother-in-law's brother was able to get tickets to a movie screening, which is (apparently) something that only really happens here in Hollywood. We didn't really know much about the movie except for the title, Walk Hard, and that it was a spoof of Walk the Line.

As it turns out, it was made by the people who made Talledega Nights and Knocked Up. That was probably a good indication that I should have called a Code 10 Abort and called the whole thing off.I didn't, though, and I can say only this:

It was the naked-ist movie ever created.

I thought Knocked Up pushed the line of moral standards, but Walk Hard grabbed those standards by the lapels and threw them into alligator-infested waters.

The worst part was when you got to stare at naked man-parts for a couple of minutes. Random and (admittedly) kind of funny as it was, I don't think a movie should even be able to have that kind of content.

Wow. I don't know how much longer we'll last here on Earth.

Char Broiled

I stayed in the pool way too long today...

And now you could fry a ham and cheese sandwhich on my back.

Now I'm tempted to try just that...
